No need to watch

Warning!
Do not read if you gonna watch
Mr & Mrs Smith or War of the Worlds.
I am gonna tell how the story ends.
You have been warned!

Mr & Mrs Smith
they fell in love and got married
they try to kill each other
suddenly they are in love again
and live happily ever after

War of the Worlds
the aliens invade Earth
they are very smart
they disable all communications
suddenly the aliens die

The teacher appears, again

I have no mood to run.
My mood have moved from
- no need to take part in races
- its ok to go slow
- run 3 times a week
- its ok not to run.

I having been running only once a week.
My tummy is growing.
How nice if something else was also growing,
I meant my wallet.

On Monday PM5 handed me a book
Running with the Legends. PM5 just got it during
lunch from a pre-owned books store.
PM5 already read the book, thanks to PM19.

I read the foreword and introduction
and I am already inspired to run!
Now I understand why PM19 and PM5
highly recommends the book.
Thanks to PM5 for lending me the book.

Laughter the best medicine

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Let's be united against HUNGER.

630 million homeless people in the world.
Let's be united against POVERTY.

Let's make this a better place.
If you can't, just don't make it worst, please.

Poor Amby

Did 7 laps at KLCC yesterday.
The last I ran was July 05.
The long break is due to injuries, no mood to run and to spend time with wife.
Joined PM1 for 5 laps and PM12 for 2 laps.

7.42 -> 7.42 -> 7.43 -> 7.27 - > 7.49 -> 8.14 -> 8.23

PM5 & PM19 zoomed pass, fast pace.
Later found out that PM5 did a 8 lap PR. Congrats PM5!

I wanted to run 8 laps but legs felt pain on the 7th lap.
Joined PM33, PM19 & PM20 chatting at the bench.
As usual its always fun and interesting chatting with these guys.

But of course each time I mentioned 'it is ok to go(run) slow' by Amby Burfoot, I get fucked.
'Err... the latest magazine says run 3 times a week oso ok by Amby Burfoot' I get fucked and so does Amby.
'Err... PM20, due to my injuries and lack of training and etc I would like to retract my 10km challenge' I get fucked.
'Err... never mind'.

The above have been over exaggerated, the PMs are a bunch of great guys.

Visit to Bird Park

As planned and promised to our 2 sons we went to the Bird Park.
It's a huge place and interesting for everybody.
Those with children,  please bring a change of clothes and lots of water.
Our 2 sons were soaked with sweat and drank all their bottled water.
The drinks within the park is expensive RM2.50 each for mineral water and canned drink.

One of the wokers was feeding yellow worms (those usually in fish shops) to the birds.
The interesting thing was he was throwing the worms into the air and the various birds were swooping it off in mid-air!
Wow sharp eyes and perfect accuracy and coordination.
After much walking all of us were pretty hungry and we were off to 1 Utama for lunch.

A run with Der Pacemaker

Could not locate Jamie at his desk.
He planned to do 5 laps @ 7.30 pace and then some hill intervals.
I was curious and interested to join him, well maybe next time.

By the time I reached KLCC track, spotted PM1 and Ah Loong(AL).
PM1 was waving to me to join them which I am happy to.
I quickly asked PM1 'what is the pace u going ah?'.
PM1 'today i go slow only coz leg still pain'.

PM1 'ah loong, wah u very good ah, Ipoh half marathon time 2hrs 5 mins'.
PM1 'some more carrying camera taking pics, if u throw away the camera below 2hours oso can'.
AL as usual always laughing even when he is talking.
AL 'er...er... no lah'.
AL's attire for runs are knee length bermudas and t-shirts.
To me, his running movements is like R2D2.
I am not poking fun at AL, just trying my best to describe his running style.

Well, AL for one has all the right to tell me 'newton its not about the running shorts and vest!'.
At the 2 1/2 laps point AL said something (distorted by his laughing), made a u-turn and disappeared.
Mmm....must be secret training lah.

PM1 and I continue lah.
PM1 'this pace u ok ah?'.
PM1 'let the body warm-up first and then try to go faster and faster'.
PM1 'this is good for training to finish strong'.
Me in my negative mind 'die lah this fella gonna go faster n faster'.
Me in my positive mind 'wow this is the guru, what an honor, i must follow'.

The running pace gradually increased from the first lap 8.04mins to 6.55 mins on the 7th lap.
Wow! PM1 control the pace increase really very gradual, you the guru!
After that I waited for him to complete his 8th lap.
PM1 'must slow jog after run to get rid of the lactic acid and oso to loosen muscles'.

Unfortunately I did not run the 8th lap.
I was tired and did not run for almost a week due to injuries.
Anyway, it was a good run and lucky enough to have PM1 to pace.

There butterfly

Sunday, about 10am visited the Butterfly Park at KL Lake Gardens.
I was pretty surprised by this suggestion from my wife, she usually
prefers to go to the shopping malls or stay home.

I think both my sons loved it.
A new and different atmosphere as compared to shopping malls.
There were so many butterflies.
They also have carps (koi), monitor lizards, tortoise and etc.

We do not know much about butterflies and do not know their names.
So most of the time all 4 of us were saying 'there butterfly',
'there another butterfly'.
Hopefully we will do better at the bird park, apparently next week.

Ken Kor Kor

how u lose 44kg i want to know
ask you this question you always make don't know
how you quit smoking i don't really want to know
but if you tell, I will make like I want to know

start start you run slow slow
now you want to run fast coz you already know how to run slow
so you hill train, running uphill fast and downhill slow
your race motto is finish strong and start slow

you get along well and many like to be around you
maybe it's the jokes,  maybe it's just you
maybe it's the profanities, nobody says it with style like you
you are so good at it , the gang gave a title just for you

anyways I am glad you are my friend, ken kor kor.
